Vintage Sony WA-8000 MKII / WA-8800 AM/FM Shortwave Radio Cassette Recorder

I tested this item and it only works with the AC adapter, not the batteries. Radio turns on and sounds great. The cassette player as far as I can tell does not work. I do not know much about this item, but it does make noise when hitting play etc, so maybe it’s just the belt. I also do not know how easy the rewind play Fast Forward buttons are supposed to be pressed, seems like there might be a little resistance. As well as the tuning knob gives some resistance when turned , I took a picture of it and as you can see it’s a little tilted. Cosmetically, the item is in great condition.
