Vintage Panasonic RQ-92 Double Cassette Boombox Recorder Karaoke Guitar

This is a Vintage Panasonic RQ-92 Double Cassette boombox player recorder with the Super Echo feature. It can also be used as a Karaoke machine or Guitar amp. It comes with the original cord and looks lightly used. It even has the original packaging stickers on the front. I tested the cassette player, and it worked and sounded well. I plugged an old microphone in and it worked, allowing the karaoke feature to be used. I don’t have a guitar, but the microphone buzzed when plugged into the guitar jack. I don’t have a manual, so I’m pretty sure that one cassette (red side) is for recording and the other cassette (green side) is for playing. The green side marked “play” played the tape when tested. The red side marked “rec/play” did not play the tape, so I believe that side is a dedicated recording tape deck. I put a blank tape in the red side, and it did successfully record the tape I was playing on the green side, so the recording/dubbing feature does work. The old double cassette technology often had a record side and a play side- this is the case with this unit. Please keep in mind that this is a collectible vintage machine that’s 40+ years old- it’s not a modern piece that’s going to sound like your new stuff.
