Vintage Aiwa AD-6500 Solid State Cassette Tape Deck Recorder – As Is. I don’t know much about these at all. I plugged it in, and it immediately starts “whirling”, regardless of if any of the buttons are pressed or not. I could not stop it. The buttons all seem to move as they should, and the tape deck door opens with the button as it should. But because the motor appears to always be on, I cannot test the buttons’ functionality either. The Pause button has no effect either. Also, the motor, or “whirling” doesn’t sound too healthy. It oscillating, and is noisier than it should be. All lights seem to work too (the indicator lights, the meter lights, and the inside-deck light). Cosmetically it’s in decent condition too. It has an old piece of tape on one side-please see pictures-but it could be peeled off with a little determination if wanted. It has some spots on the top too-maybe some surface rust or something-I’m not sure. I wiped it down with a damp cloth, and they did not come off. Again, please accept my apologies for this statement.
