Tested with adapter (not included) motor (roller wheel) moves when play button and rewind are pressed not when fast forward is pressed. Not tested with a cassette tape. Not tested with batteries but battery contacts are very clean. Takes 4 C sized batteries. Unit is in very good physical condition and makes a nice display piece. Check out our other items.
