The unit is in good cosmetic condition with some signs of use like small scratches, paint wear and dings. I did my best to include photos of any blemishes to judge the condition for yourself. I replaced the old belt with one that meets OEM specifications. The motor was calibrated to the correct speed. I balanced the L-R channels as well as the azimuth. The tape head, pinch rollers, pulleys and electrical contacts were all cleaned and deoxit was applied to the leaf switches and volume potentiometer. It will play and record in both directions. Recording was tested to be working. The battery terminals are free of corrosion and the gears are intact so no clicking or seizing while the player’s running. Overall it’s in good running condition and sounds great for a player released in 1986! I’d recommend using a AA battery with 1.5v and not a rechargeable with 1.2v as the lower voltage can cause issues with power. This listing is for the WM-R202 and AA battery adapter only.
