Tascam 244 Four Track – Cassette – As Is. I have had this 244 for years. Sat on a shelf in my climate controlled studio. I have reel decks and never brought this out to use. Time to sell it. Powers on – all VUs light up and work – the unit records and plays – fast forwards and rewinds. When playing a tape you can hear the transport. The tape is going 2x the speed of a regular cassette deck – so maybe normal – maybe not. I remember it always like that – noisy transport – it was like that on my 246 too.. I had a custom cover made for this and it was always on the unit – the cover is included. Please look at all photos carefully – they are an important part of this item’s description.
