VINTAGE 1980 Sony TC-D5M Portable Stereo Cassette Recorder Excellent condition

This is Sony’s last analog desk. I cleaned the monitor volume with CAIG DeoxIT D5 because there was a little bit of galling. The recording volume was not gari. The battery room and electrodes are very clean. The urethane in the battery room has been replaced. I checked all the functions before listing. Both external 6V DC power supply and battery (Single Type 2 Pieces) function without any problem. All features are complete, including microphone recording, line recording, playback, fast forward, rewind, noise reduction, tape selector, microphone attenuator, and limiter. The tape speed was also adjusted accurately. Auto shutoff is complete during recording and playback. The built-in speaker also sounds. The headphone jack is also OK. Counter and meter movement is also OK. Meter lighting is also OK. Currently, the recording volume and the monitor (SPEAKER) volume do not have gari. It looks a little used, but it’s pretty. Acrylic windows are clean without scratches. The rubber cushion on the back is worn out over time. I used chrome tape to record and play CDs of the violin sonatas from Corgan and Richter’s Bach on stereo, and I was able to record and play them with a sound that was as good as a large cassette deck. I used a microphone to record the playback sound from the speakers of the Hogwood Bach Violin Concerto CD to normal tape, and I was able to record a clean sound without noise.
