Vintage Sony Walkman Cassette Player FM Radio WM-F17 Tested Works. Cosmetically, this Walkman is in great shape. There are some stress cracks where clear plastic meets black area (see pic). I tested radio and tape player and found the following.. Radio works well, is able to be programmed, no issues. FF and Rewind is very responsive, no weakness or hesitancy. No hesitancy when eject button is pushed. Tape plays when the play button is pushed. There is a static sound dependent on how the headphones/Walkman are positioned. You can get a clear sound, but it has to be maneuvered. This makes me think the headphone jack needs work. Mic is included and I did test the record function and it worked well. I didn’t notice any issues. Speed control doesn’t seem to be working correctly. I was able to hear different speeds but not with any consistency. Please consider this not functioning. Headphones are in great shape, muffs look nearly near. This comes with everything that you see photographed. It looks like this was well taken care, but please understand this is over 30 years old and does need some work to bring it back to fully functioning.
