Vintage Sony TC-D5M Portable Stereo Cassette Recorder. Power works with two D batteries (not included) and/or. Direct wall plug (included). This is a clean unit with normal wear for a field recorder. All buttons and levers work smoothly just as they should. Only issue this unit has, is the plastic latch for the battery compartment is broken so battery compartment is kept closed with gaffers tape. I used this for years as my mix down deck in my home studio. It has been stored in my bed room closet for years. I just finished completely bench testing this unit and everything works perfectly. One of the pictures shows the unit recording from my stereo and the record and limiter LEDs are lit and the VU meters are indicating proper levels as the limiter does its job. Play back sounds great through the output. RCAs into my stereo. On headphones plugged into the unit and even through the small mono speaker in the unit. As you look at the picture of the side of the unit with all the input and output jacks you will see one extra jack. It apparently is for a remote on off switch but I never used it. Comes with wall power supply, stereo microphone, 3 professionally degaussed and one new in wrapper TDK D90 IECI/TYPEI cassette tapes, 2 sets of RCA stereo cables and the owners manual. All in a protective flight style case. The tapes were degaussed with a Garner Model1600 Degausser. The Microphone is a Realistic model 33-919A. Not a real high end mic. But its not bad. Takes one AA battery (not included). This will be carefully packaged &insured. Thank you for looking.
