You can hear that the tape plays quietly and smoothly. You can see the counter turning and the right and left sound levels light up. That is the extent of my ability to test it. It appears to be in overall great condition. It has some scratches (see photos). 17″W x 10″D x 4 1/2H. Type: 2-head, single compact cassette deck. Track System: 4-track, 2-channel stereo.
