The IZH-305S stereo cassette recorder has been manufactured by the Izhevsk Motorcycle Plant since 1985. The IZH-305-S portable stereo cassette recorder, a third-complexity group, is designed for recording and playing back voice and music on MK-60 cassettes. The recorder features the following service features: a built-in speaker system consisting of two loudspeakers, a stereo base expander, full autostop, automatic power-off system (APS), simultaneous bass and treble tone control (one position), stereo balance control, signal input and output jacks, and power supply from a 220 V network or from six 343 batteries. Initially, the recorder had the design shown in photographs 2, 3, and 4. Since 1987, in accordance with the new GOST standard, the recorder was designated the IZH M-305S.
