Vintage 1991 Sony TC-FX170 Single Deck Cassette Player Recorder TESTED & WORKING. Testing and packaging process has been video recorded. Functionality: In excellent condition. Has been tested, and functions as originally intended by the manufacture. Cosmetic Condition: Very good condition. Some small scratches on exterior. Includes RCA audio cable and new cassette tape. The main features of the Sony TC-FX170 are: 2 heads, analog 3 digit tape counter, automatic tape type selection with support for normal, chrome and metal tapes, belt driven single-capstan transport. Typical front loading cassette deck with the cassette compartiment located on the left side of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well. Level meters used on the TC-FX170 are generic digital peak reading meters. Soft-touch controls for fast and easy transport function selection of the TC-FX170. Dolby C-type used in the TC-FX170 provides 20 dB of noise reduction above about 1,000 Hz, fully doubling the amount given by B-type. For undisturbed listening a jack connector for a pair of stereo headphones is supplied.
