Vintage 1992 Sony TC-K690 3-Head Dual Capstan Cassette Deck (Black) – Serviced. Replaced the 2 main drive belts for motor and capstans. Replaced’mode belt’ for additional motor. Drives mechanism to change from forward to rewind, etc. No further repairs were performed or deemed necessary. Playback and recording are working, speed appears correct. Noticed no issues with sound from either recording or playback on tape. Forward and rewind functions working. Tape monitor head working. Bias and Level calibration controls tested good. Bias and Dolby NR knobs intermittently seem a bit stiffer than other to turn, but not a functional issue. Tape head and right capstan surfaces appear slightly worn. Standard signs of use. May have cosmetic wear and/or scuffs. Noticeable scratches and scuffs, has stains. Scratches on display window and tape door. Dented area in back around power cord. See photos for more detail.
