U-matic videocassette recorder, player, editor, type IX SP with Type-C Dolby noise reduction, full automatic assemble and insert editing, 9-pin RS-422 serial interface, optional 33-pin parallel interface with BKU-703A, optional Time Code Generator/Reader capability with BKU-705, TBC connection, JOG/SHUTTLE dial operation +/- x1/30 to x8, Dial Menu Operation, dubbing connectors, balanced audio with XLR connectors, 8 digit LED counter. 5 Rack Units High. Complete interchangeability between SP and Conventional U-matic. SP mode Automatic Detection System. Dolby C-type Noise Reduction System. 9-pin REMOTE Connector (RS-422 serial interface). High Speed Picture Search. Improves the S/N ratio to 72db and works only in SP recording/playback modes. Smooth transitions between scenes. The search dial offer various speeds from stil up to 8 times normal speed in both the forward and reverse directions. Independent editing of video, channel 1 audio or channel 2 audio is possible in the insert edit mode.
