It features Dolby B and C noise reduction as well as a CAR feature that equalizes recordings for playback in a moving car environment. This unit is in very good cosmetic condition and works perfectly. Type: 3-head, single compact cassette deck. Track System: 4-track, 2-channel stereo. Tape Speed: 4.75 cm/s. Heads: 1 x record, 1 x playback, 1 x erase. Tape Type: type I, CrO2, Metal. Noise Reduction: B, C. Headroom Extension: HX Pro. Frequency Response: 30Hz to 20kHz. Signal to Noise Ratio: 72dB. Wow and Flutter: 0.025%. Total Harmonic Distortion: 1.0%. Output: 0.5V (line). Dimensions: 435 x 271 x 122mm. The NAD 6300 was simple the best deck I ever heard! And I own Dragon, Revox B215, Pio CT-F1250, all in better then new condition. The 6300 are unique! Never heared such detailed highs without any compression! . The Bottom are clearer as glass and deeper like the ocean. You will not found one deck, even not a Tandberg who sound better! Its tfor me he end of 40 years searching for the best sounding and recording deck. It is tsimply he best in ultimo ratio! That is all generalization by a marking scheme. In practice, it is very noticeable how easy it is to get excellent, not just good, sound from the NAD 6300. Exactly for its lack of outboard trim pots, popping in a TDK SA, one of its recommended tapes for recording, you get what this deck was there for. The idiot’s perfect high end cassette tape deck. Dyneq and Dolby HxPro seem to do their jobs without interfering with each other, allowing recording levels at +5dB on TDK D, and so this deck achieves great dynamics on SA while respecting strong highs levels. Another comment I have is: this is a rock band’s perfect partner for cassette tape recording. You can find this model in the used market for a very cheap price. Sonically speaking, is a very neutral machine with a heavy bottom that perhaps it’s it forté. The playtrim do what it’s suppose to. It’s not as accurate as a manual azymuth adj. As in some Nakamichis, but that wasn’t its main objective anyway. Comparing it to the heavies, Revox, Nakamichi, Teac Z series & Tandberg I couldn’t say that it is the ultimate machine but definitely holds its own vs machines costing twice. Nice highs, in part due to the playtrim feauture help, but other machines exhibit a definitive wider soundstage and focus. For the price, the 6300 and the Aiwa AD F800 could be the best bargain in the used audio market for those looking to play their old cassettes again or as an entry level deck. You wouldn’t be dissapointed. All of the pre-owned items that we sell are thoroughly inspected and tested both on our test bench and in our listening room. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
