VERY IMPORTANT: These vintage boomboxes were designed to last about ten years. This one is about 30 years old, so the fact that this one is working or partially working today is rare. It’s important to understand that the parts in this boombox are probably original and could go bad at any time including, belts. That is why we sell all vintage audio as-is. Please read the entire listing and examine all photos. There is some heavy static in the volume slider and heavy static in the function switches that can shift the balance in favor of one speaker over the other or can require that the function switches be pushed multiple times to make a secure connection. This means that its likely that they have a bit of corrosion and will need to be cleaned with some contact cleaner. Tape player worked and sounded pretty clear to us although we can’t guaranty the level of head performance. We let it play for about 30 minutes with no problems. We were able to get in FM stations clearly. Antenna appears to be in good condition and goes up and down properly. Both speakers produce sound. We didn’t hear any obvious defects. All buttons and knobs are there and work. Battery compartment appears to be in good shape and the battery covers is there and secures properly. We played a record for about 30 minutes and it played with no issues. It does not come with the 45 adapter. Record player release requires a bit of help to get the record player to come out. It has plenty of cosmetic wear and scratched so please look over the photos. We are happy to help. Whats the deal with used items? Used items will have noticeable wear including scratches, nicks, and other typical wear. Its impossible to list them all. Look at the pictures and zoom in. Ask for more pictures if you want them.
