Vintage Sony Portable Video Cassette Recorder SL-F1UB Betamax. Has some marks and scratches from use/storage. In fully working order. Only used with the power unit as the battery appears to be dead. Sound and vision was clear on testing. The Sony SL-F1 was the successor to the SL-3000 portable video recorder. It came out in 1982 and used the same direct drive reel mechanism as the SL-C9 which gave the F1 incredibly good tape transport. The SL-F1 system was designed for mobile use, and was intended to be connected to a camera for outside filming. As such this unit could be operated either via a battery pack or via a DC adaptor. The F1 was part of a range of Sony units which included the TT-F1, a companion tuner timer unit, the AC-F1 charger/power supply and the PCM-F1, portable PCM adaptor. There was also a camera and backpack available. MIC and camera inputs. Designed for mobile operation. Swing search – Reverse / slow / forward. Battery or DC-IN operation. This item may require adaptors to make it function outside of the UK (not supplied). Any questions please ask.
