This head uses LC-OFC windings to reduce transmission distortion. This has greatly improved the resolution of the playback head, especially when the signal current level is very small. The core material of the Super GX head is made of ferrite crystallized by Akai’s proprietary process, which has high magnetic permeability, a high magnetic saturation point, low residual magnetism, and resistance to magnetization.
