Vintage Sony TC-WE305 Dual Cassette Deck for sale, tested & working. All features are functioning properly. This is a basic dubbing deck with Dolby B noise reduction. This unit has been serviced. The work done is as follows. Replaced old melted belts with newly manufactured ones. Greased and oiled mechanism. Calibrated tape speed on both decks for normal and high speed modes. Calibrated playback levels with test tape. The above are just some of the examples of things that can go wrong with old cassette decks. When purchasing an untested or barely tested machine, these are the kinds of issues you can expect to discover. This deck is basic but still a decent performer. It records well on TDK tapes, including with Dolby B. Recordings made on Maxell or other tape brands may be overly bright or dull – this isn’t an issue with the machine, but rather a normal limitation of decks without external bias control. Cosmetic condition is good for the age of the device. The metal lid was repainted and the plastic trim on the top of the unit was sanded to remove as many scratches as possible. Scratches, marks, and other blemishes are present on the unit. Please check pictures for an assessment of the cosmetic condition.
