I did test it and it does work but I did nothing to it as far as cleaning tape heads or replacing belts so that will probably need to be done. The speakers work perfectly on radio but I did have to adjust the balance when I played a tape. There are three small flaws that need to be mentioned. One is a foot tab that is broken off, one is a little yellowing on the wheels and buttons from age. When you turn the tuning wheel you can see that it is a slightly different color where it remained in one place for a long time, and the other is a little discoloration in the battery compartment, however I did test it with batteries and there was no corrosion on the terminals.
