VINTAGE STEREO CASSETTE RECORDER “UHER CR 210″ WITH LEATHER PROTECTIVE CASE – MANUFACTURED 1970’s BY. WERKE MÜNCHEN, MADE IN. Great item from the past, “UHER CR 210″ Cassette Recorder is a well-known name in professional audio circles. It is tested with 6 batteries /x 1,5 Volt/ but is not turning on. I do not have the necessary knowledge to determine what the possible reasons are – minor or bigger issue. Well-preserved outside condition considering the age with no visible marks over the surface on the cassette recorder and leather case as well. The item is coming as seen in the photos, without power supply and without batteries. Country: West Germany. Number of Transistors: 37. Semiconductors: AC188, BC153, BC167, BC183, BC214, BC238, BC257, BC384, BCW84, BD241, BF245, BPX81, S7267, S7302, TAA611. Main principle: Audio-Amplification. Wave bands: without. Details: Cassette-Recorder or Player. Power type and voltage: Dry Batteries /6 x 1,5 Volt/. Loudspeaker: Permanent Magnet Dynamic (PDyn) Loudspeaker (moving coil). Material: Metal case. Model: CR210 Stereo – UHER WERKE, München. Shape: Portable set > 8 inch (also usable without mains). Dimensions (WHD): 185 x 57 x 180 mm / 7.3 x 2.2 x 7.1 inch. Built for hard use, the CR210 had deep capstan bearings, turned brass flywheels, a ceramic erased head and tape guide and electronics built on easily replaceable plug-in modules. In defiance of an era where the production of most electronic equipment was becoming centralized in Japan, UHER continued with its policy of sourcing as many parts as possible for the CR210 from inside Germany; from the main chassis casting and the motor down to the smallest resistor or capacitor almost nothing in it was imported. This excellent (if expensive) recorder found many uses, especially in an age when paranoia was descending over much of Western Europe.
