Sony TC-K81 Stereo Cassette Deck, a sought-after vintage Sony component that would make a great addition to a classic audio setup or collection. I do not have the additional audio equipment necessary to perform a complete test of all inputs, outputs, recording functions, or sound quality. Functions tested and working. Unit powers on properly. Tape counter is functioning. Transport controls respond as expected during basic testing. The unit shows cosmetic wear consistent with age and previous use, including scratches/scuffs and other normal signs of wear. Please review all photos carefully, as they are considered part of the description and show the exact condition of the unit you will receive. Great opportunity for a vintage Sony collector, audio enthusiast, or someone looking to complete a period-correct Hi-Fi setup.

Estate sale find, came from a non-smoking home. The owner had a lot of high end audio/video gear. All of the equipment was in excellent condition, and there was a lot of high end decor and equipment in the house. I played back some tapes and it played cleanly. I also recorded off the radio with a position II high bias tape. It recorded and played back smoothly. The cleanest level setting was with all green and no red segments lit. You may want to have it checked over by a tech before full time use just because I don’t know the history of it. The heads, capstan and pinch rollers look great, and the level controls are smooth and clean, so I’m pretty sure the owner was taking care of it and having maintenance done as needed. Guaranteed to work as described. I will pack it in an outer box. The item “Sony TC-K81 Vintage Cassette Tape Deck Recorder Player 3 Head Tested/Working” is in sale since Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
