Another M45 rescued from death. But far from it, these amazing decks can be brought back to service with a little effort. I removed the mechanism, cleaned boards, recapped power supply, servo board and output signal path. Heads were polished, aligned and demagnetized. New counter belt and new idler tire. Speed, levels and bias calibration. It’s a 45 year old machine that is ready for four more decades. I’m not a professional technician so I don’t charge for service. I’m just trying to get back the expense of importing the unit plus 6 to 10 hours of work. This is a 100V unit, you will need a step down transformer available widely on Amazon and others.
