Cosmetically the body is in very clean overall condition. When tested it played back at the wrong speed; the right reel was dragging. We could not get the DC Power supply to work when plugged in (not sure if this is the correct one for this unit) – also tested with fresh D batteries (not included). When tested with fresh batteries the right motor was still dragging and it ate the tape we were testing with. Please be sure to ask any questions before purchasing. Please message for rates. Rare, vintage Pioneer CT-F700 stereo cassette/tape player. All the VU metres work, no scratching on output fader. The mechs do work, but i really recommend a good clean, de-mag and full service. Tried this with a few tapes, and whilst it plays tapes, with a clean sound, sometimes the tape stops after a bit. I found the better quality the tape the longer it played. RW- again works, but not as smoothly as FF. For those reasons it’s down for parts, I reckon it’s just a good old service due to not being used for a long time, but that’s as far as I can tell and I can’t confirm there aren’t any other issues that I maybe might have missed. But, my testing was putting a tape in and seeing how it played, and also recording onto tape. It really is a stunning machine, the sound is fantastic, if you know these you know how good they are. Fostex MC102 mixer and tape recorder. Channel 1 on the mixer has no sound. Maybe I’m dummy but very much seems like left channel on stereo output doesn’t work, no sound. But if I use the monitor output and push solo on the channels left channels does works as well. When playing tape (monitor output) both left right channels are working as should. I think it can be fixed easily. I did not find other issues. Cassette functions are working well. Cosmetic condition is very good. Anyway it’s a great tool especially for electronic music. The 10 channels are especially for synths and drum machines. But there are A, B input for guitar and mic as well. The tape recorder is not a multitrack recorder. It works like a simple cassette deck on normal speed. So you can create a/b side cassette recordings with it. Voltage is 230V (voltage step up converter needed in the US and Canada).
