As seen from the main photo, it powers on fine. Sometimes, it is temperamental when switching back and forth between the two. But I have always gotten it to work by switching back to one and then the other. The sound is great – tone, balance, and volume controls are in good working condition. Cassette player is in great working condition – please see photos where you can see. The counter has moved. I was not able to test the cassette recorder because I don’t have a blank cassette tape. I have not tested anything else. As you can see, it does have some issues. Antenna is separated at the base. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me. Vintage JVC BOOMBOX RC-M70JW Stereo Radio/Cassette Recorder PARTS/REPAIR. Great 1980s Boom Box top of the line at the time. Just tried it, I could not get a cassette to play, rewind or fast forward in the player. Also the cassette door gets stuck in the closed position. The Boom Box is otherwise in Excellent condition. The radio plays fine. Takes 10 D batteries (does have an ac cord). Does not have the manual or original box. I’m not experts in any field. I find interesting things in yard and estate sales, and pass them along to you. I do a little internet research and describe things as best I can, but you probably know more about the item than I do.
