The Mitsubishi DT-10 cassette deck is a rare vintage piece from 1978, manufactured in Japan. Years of manufacture: 1978 – 1980. Color: Metal Silver / Black. Advanced Features and Superior Performance. The DT-10 offers both excellent basic performance and great ease in use combined with the attractive lines of the whole Mitsubishi Audio Component line0up. Ultralow wow and flutter – only 0,06% WRMS; are ensured by the use of a DC servomotor with large (2-7/8) flywheel, a capstan circular to within a 0,3 µ tolerance, and a high precision drive assembly. Special circuitry and selected components help to realize the full advantages of Dolby noise reduction. Mitsubishi’s own ultralow-noise PNP-type epitaxial transistors are used in the first stage of the recording equalizer amplifier. The DT-10 has a special meter to tell you how much time is left before the tape will end. Often useful during playback, it is an invaluable aid to high quality home recording. Recording Master Volume Control and Mixing Facilities. Like the DT-30, the DT-10 has separate level controls for Mic and Line inputs, so that both can be mixed, and a master recording level control for professional-type fade-in and fade-out effects. Other Features and Functions. Peak-level indicator plus VU meters. Memory rewind function to (000) on the counter. Timer-controlled recording and playback possible. L-channel Mic input doubles as input for a mono Mic. Two position adjustment of both equalization and bias. Oil-damped gentle cassette-ejection mechanism. 4,75 cm/sec (1-7/8 ips) ±1%. 80 sec (C-60 tape). Signal-to-Noise Ratio (+3 VU, weighted, 400 Hz). Erasure Ratio (1 kHz). Between Channels (500 – 6,300 Hz). Between Tracks (1 kHz). Total Harmonic Distortion (400 Hz). 40 – 12,000 Hz ±3 dB. 40 – 15,000 Hz ±3 dB. This is a registered certification in electronic packaging. They put that package through rigorous testing including the following. Shock Test: (10 random drops from 30 Inches). Compression Test: The package is then tested in a press at 976.94 lbs. Vibration Test: The package is then put on a vibration table and violently shaken for 45 minutes. You must pass all three tests without any damage, cosmetically or functionality. I think it’s worth a few extra bucks, because they can’t be replaced. Mitsubishi DT-7 Vintage Cassette Player Recorder Excellent But Needs Belt. Unit is in Near pristine condition cosmetically, only signs of use are a scuff on top of left handle and minor scuffs on front cover in middle (only visible in certain light) -see last photos. Opened up & found what looks like a melted belt on the main motor drive & pulley. Cleaned off and Replaced all belts. Unit plays cassette as it should but now Rewind & Fast forward are not engaging properly. I think it is mechanical and when i disassmbled it something did not get put back correctly (I believe). It should be examined by someone who has experience with these decks. Message for any questions , T hank you.
