I still need to test a few of the options on here like the cassette deck (expect repairs but we will see) the radio functions well – some scratchy controls that need to be cleaned up – rare piece and deff worth grabbing if you’ve got an eclectic collection going. This was tested the radio itself works GREAT VOLUME BASE BALANCE TREBLE WORKS FINE. Cassette player does not work my guess it needs a new belt. Also there is one antenna missing. This stereo has been cleaned and tested. Both radio and cassette player/recorder are in normal working condition. The speakers are loud. This boom box was produced in the mid-70’s so it is well over 40 years old. Hence there are wear, minor dents and scratches, else it is in great condition for its age. The side grills have glue residues from a bad gluing fix? Does not affect the units functions though. Dimensions are about 15x12x5. There is a power cord. It takes 8 D batteries (not included) when used as a portable device. Even without the batteries, this device is very heavy. This is a nice working vintage Sony boom box. They didn’t stop there The CRS-1800 witch is actually a step up from the more common CRS-2000 also has lots of optional inputs and outputs, battery, AC adapter or corded power, microphone/PA style input, the Matrix stereo means it even has sepperatly amplified speaker outs! It even has a level meter that can be used for battery level meter, sound-signal level meter and radio fine-tuning! Anyways did a little research found a lot of cool history pertaining to Marantz Superscope and the CRS-1800 so feel free to google it or do some research of your own.
