Plays, fast fowards, rewinds but it wont play backwards. I honestly dont know who plays tapes backwards but the backwards play doesnt work. It Likely needs a belt repalced. It plays in a normal manner perfectly fine, fast fowards and rewinds just fine. It needs no service. Great vintage hifi deck.

All in excellent condition! All except one still has unused stickers for cassette- Includes Black, Blue, Silver, Green and pink! Very hard to find! Especially in this comdition.

This Teac deck (serial number 7178 92) isn’t going to win any beauty contests. There are a few scratches on the cabinet and one of the rack mounts in bent (see pictures). Also, the power button is loose and sloppy. The belt(s) appear to be totally shot as we’re not getting any transport action. However, testing the deck with an external source through the line-in input, we can confirm that the meters work and the sound is good through the headphone jack. Since we cannot test with a cassette, it is possible that other issues exist in addition to the belts needing to be replaced. The bottom line is this… You’ll receive your item on time and in perfect condition regardless of how big, heavy, or delicate your item may be! WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE SALE: You will only receive what is shown in the photographs. If you do not see it in the photos, it is likely not included in the sale. Deck is an overall nice cosmetic condition. It powers on, but no other testing done. I live an hour outside of New York City on the Jersey shore if you want to pick it up. Please have a look at the pictures to assess the overall condition.

For sale Teac A-700 Cassette. I have tested this unit and it sounds really great. The great sound that you expect from vintage 1970s every thing works these vintage stereos. You can just enjoy it. As far as cosmetics, there is some very minor wear as you can see in the pics, but nothing major at all. I’m happy to send more pics also if you’d like.
