Really nice Panasonic Stereo Radio Cassette player/recorder. Model RX-FT530 I think this is considered a boombox? I played oldies in it! It has never had batteries in its compartment! Takes 6 “D” batteries. Matsushita Electric Industries Co. Cassettes and batteries not included!

This is a clean, well-preserved example that’s been tested and is in excellent cosmetic condition for its age. Original telescoping antenna (extends and retracts smoothly). Original battery compartment door. Includes a compatible AC power cord (not the original Panasonic cord). Overall cosmetic condition is excellent with only light signs of normal use. The battery compartment was professionally cleaned after very minor battery corrosion from years ago. There are a few tiny cosmetic traces of oxidation visible in a couple of areas, but there is no active corrosion, and the battery compartment is clean and fully usable. The handle, speaker grilles, knobs, switches, tuning dial, and cabinet are all in very nice condition. Powers on properly. Cassette player operates correctly. RCA/AUX input plays loud and clear through both speakers. Please Note: The radio tuner receives stations, but the radio audio is noticeably lower in volume than the cassette player or AUX input. The amplifier and speakers perform well through the cassette and AUX functions. The radio section may benefit from cleaning, adjustment, or servicing, but no repairs have been attempted. Compatible AC power cord (non-original). This is a great example for a vintage audio collector, display piece, or someone looking for a quality Japanese-made Panasonic boombox from the early 1980s. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description. The unit will be packed with care to ensure it arrives safely.

This unit has been professionally checked and tested before listing. This is a carefully selected collector-grade vintage item, not a random untested recorder. ?? A Small Machine That Preserved Real Voices. The Panasonic RQ-341A belongs to a time when recording a voice, a meeting, a family message or a personal idea required a real cassette, a physical button and a dedicated machine. Compact, beautifully proportioned and unmistakably Japanese, this recorder represents the practical side of vintage audio: equipment created to be carried, used and trusted. Its silver front, large cassette window, perforated speaker grille and clearly marked Auto Stop mechanism give it the honest industrial character that modern digital devices cannot reproduce. This particular example is especially attractive because it has survived with its original presentation materials. ? If You’re Reading This – You Understand. You are probably not looking for the quickest way to record audio. A smartphone can do that. You are looking for the physical experience of opening a cassette compartment, inserting a tape and pressing a mechanical control. You appreciate the sound of the mechanism, the visible cassette movement and the simple certainty of a device designed around one clear purpose. ? What You Receive Beyond the Recorder. ? A genuine portable cassette recording experience with real mechanical operation. ?? A built-in microphone that allows the recorder to function as a self-contained voice-recording device. ? An integrated speaker for immediate playback without a separate audio system. ? Auto Stop operation designed to stop the transport when the tape reaches its end. ? Portable battery-powered use with four AA batteries. ? Original box, protective foam and documentation that significantly increase the ownership and display value. ? A compact visual object that fits naturally into a vintage audio collection, office, studio or period interior. ? A highly distinctive gift for someone who remembers cassette recording or appreciates preserved Japanese electronics. Why This Particular Unit. Many surviving portable cassette recorders are offered loose, heavily used, incomplete or without any documentation. This example presents a very different ownership proposition. The recorder itself appears exceptionally well preserved in the supplied photographs, with clean controls, intact cassette cover, clear markings and a tidy battery compartment area. This is not simply another Panasonic RQ-341A. It is a selected, unusually complete example whose packaging and documentation help preserve the full story of the product. For a collector, that completeness is often as important as the machine itself. ? Collector’s and Model Note. The RQ-341A was part of Panasonic’s compact portable cassette-recorder range from the mid-1980s. Unlike later personal stereo players created mainly for headphone listening, this model was designed as a practical recording instrument with a built-in microphone, speaker and Auto Stop transport. Its compact Japanese construction reflects the period when cassette machines were widely used for voice notes, interviews, correspondence, meetings and family recordings. Complete examples with their original box, protective inserts and paperwork are considerably less common than individual used recorders. ? Dimensions & Weight. ? Dimensions – Width × Height × Depth.
