Classic vintage Sony TC-D5M tape recorder/player for sale. This thing was ahead of its time, and since nostalgia is so’IN’ right now and people are recording on cassette… Why not be just like the cool kids? A relative of a friend gave this to me a few years ago when I was interested in doing field recordings and playing around with them in ProTools… But I never used it. It just kinda sat around in my room in California – in its original box, mind you! – and waited for someone to use it. It’s still waiting…. Maybe you will break the spell! (see I told you I was uncool). Truth is I’ve had it forever and I just don’t think I will ever use it. It’s in freakin amazing condition – everything works great; she purrrs. I’m also throwing in a bunch of stuff that came with it when I got it. Original box (a little beat up but still cool). One (1) RCA audio to 3.5mm cable (red/white to headphone). One (1) dual RCA audio cable (red/white on both ends). Shoulder strap with adjustable padding! AC Adapter (120V-6V) this thing also runs on two D batteries if portability is your thang (not included). Unused, still wrapped brand new cassette tapes! Most are Maxell 90min High Bias casettes I think seven are… ? And then there’s one TDK High Bias and one Maxell Regular Bias. I dont really know what that means… But they’re all still wrapped so should work! I’m in Asheville and I’m broke and I found out this bad boy was worth something so I’m givin it a whirl. It really is in great condition, and if the passion to record things on cassette resided within me, then I would be ecstatic to own it. But it doesn’t.
